The Essentials
A day on the Adriatic requires some preparation. Here's everything you need to pack for your boat trip, whether you're joining a group tour or chartering a private boat.
Sun Protection - Don't Skimp!
- Sunscreen SPF 50: Reapply every 2 hours, especially after swimming
- Lip balm with SPF: Lips burn easily on the water
- Sunglasses with UV protection: The sea reflection intensifies the sun
- Wide-brimmed hat: Essential for midday
- Light cover-up or rash guard: Extra protection when needed
Swimming & Water Activities
- Swimsuit (bring a spare): Having a dry one to change into is nice
- Quick-dry towel: Regular towels take forever to dry
- Water shoes: Many beaches are rocky pebble
- Snorkel mask: We provide them, but own fits better
- Waterproof phone case: For underwater photos
Comfort Items
- Light jacket or windbreaker: It can get breezy, especially in the evening
- Motion sickness medication: If you're prone to seasickness
- Refillable water bottle: Stay hydrated (we provide water, but a bottle helps)
- Small backpack or beach bag: Preferably water-resistant
Tech & Entertainment
- Camera with waterproof case: You'll want to capture the Blue Cave!
- Portable charger: Keep your phone powered for photos
- Waterproof dry bag: Keep valuables safe and dry
What We Provide
On our tours, you don't need to worry about:
- Snorkeling equipment
- Drinking water
- Life jackets (if needed)
- Beach mats on some tours
What NOT to Bring
- Excessive valuables: Leave expensive jewelry at the hotel
- Hard-sided luggage: Space is limited on boats
- Glass bottles: Safety hazard on boats and beaches
- Large amounts of cash: Most places accept cards now
Pro Tip
Pack everything in a waterproof bag or dry sack. Even on calm days, sea spray happens, and you'll want to keep your belongings dry.
